About Us
IES is a pre-construction services consulting group aimed at increasing your business volume, while reducing your direct company overhead, and making your business more productive. We offer a wide variety of services that can be customized to fit your company’s needs. Our goal is to help you get back to what you know best; running your business.
Our Team
Team Lead – IES is led by David Shultz. David has a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science & Management from Kanas State University and is a construction estimator with over ten years of commercial estimating experience. David has completed Planswift training course, is experienced in creating custom estimate worksheet templates via Microsoft Excel, and has a desire to share the knowledge he has obtained with others and train them to create solutions that work.

- Construction takeoff (Quantity Surveying) – We will do the number crunching for you so you can spend more time actively managing your projects
- Construction Estimates – We can combine the numbers with the pricing applicable to your business to help you develop your costs and get you to a proposal faster.
Estimating Training
- Planswift Training – We can teach you to use the #1 construction takeoff software to
crunch the numbers yourself. You can rest easy with the backup the program provides
and can show your customers what you used to generate your proposals - Planswift Support & Follow-Up Training – If you already use the software and need reminders, have questions and would to work with someone directly to take you back
through the software or revisit certain aspects we can help - Planswift Estimating Integration – We can take your estimating process and convert it to the solutions pre-built into the software allowing your takeoff, pricing and proposal
process to be seamless and easily generated.
Customizable Services
- Custom Estimate Templates – Not ready to jump into a full software? No problem! We can create takeoff worksheets and estimate worksheets to allow you to ease into it. Using Microsoft Excel worksheets with layouts we have created, we can help you get your quantities and pricing together quickly in a format that is easy to understand.
- Estimating & Pricing Consulting – Have questions about pricing and what things might cost or should cost? Want to know what you should pay for a certain part of a project.

- Conceptual Budgeting – Do you know what you want things to look like or what you want to build, but not quite sure what to use or how it all comes together? Not sure what to tell a contractor to price based on what you need a project to be? Meet with us to
discuss it. We will listen to your ideas, identify systems needed, and can recommend people to talk to or provide budgetary pricing - Construction Training – We love to share our knowledge and passion for building.
